I was first drawn to photography at age 11 while earning my Photography Merit Badge.

This photo from that project — of a cracked flower pot on my sunlit porch — was the first time someone acknowledged me as a photographer. The merit badge counselor elevated this photo with words like asymmetry and contrast. I didn’t quite know what they meant, but it was encouraging. And I’ve been chasing unique perspectives ever since.

Like many people, I’ve had more photos trapped in the Photos app than shared with the world. Until now. With your help, we’re setting them free.
